Founded in 2021 by Marianne Wollan and Eric Horne, A-One is not just a place to stay, but a brand new way to experience the city.
Currently with a collection of homes in Oslo, our aim is to create truly memorable experiences and unforgettable moments for our guests through tailored service and exceptional architecture and design in distinct neighborhoods.
All of our homes have been individually hand-picked by us to fit with our Stay WELL philosophy- something Marianne, our Chief Well Officer, is passionate about. Marianne has worked across a wide range of industries including retail, real estate and consultancy. For the past 16 years she has been building Evolve, a company she founded that offers co-working spaces in Norway.
It was through this experience that Marianne was introduced to the WELL Standard. From her desire to facilitate people’s happiness, she believes that the built environment should enhance physical, mental and social health and contribute to people’s wellbeing in the best way possible. Which is why each of A-One’s homes have been selected with this criteria in mind.
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of A-One, Eric, the General Manager, has a master’s degree in hotel management from the Swiss Hotel Management School, and a bachelor’s degree in hotel management from Kristiana University College. His broad experience in the hospitality industry which includes a five-year stint in various positions at The Thief, one of Oslo’s most prestigious hotels, has only fuelled his passion for creating remarkable guest experiences.
For both Marianne and Eric, A-One is about the Stay WELL journey. Spaces where guests can discover harmony, get a sense of belonging, and find the right balance amid beautiful, inspiring surroundings.
